Hello isolation!

Hello everyone,

I was actually planning to work on a different post, but given the current situation my mind refuses to collaborate. So here we are: Day 6 of isolation!

As many of you know, we live in Italy, and specifically in the Northern part. And the last couple of weeks have been crazy enough. I admit, in the beginning everything seemed simple. We don't live in a big city, we are not very close to Milano or the other cities where the first cases have been registered. But, day by day, the situation has changed. If 2 weeks ago there were only 2 Red Regions ( protected zones) now the entire country is considered to be an Emergency Zone! These news are alarming. But we have to keep calm! There are some important rules which should be respected. And I am glad to see  that the great majority of people respect them. You cannot go out of the house without a reason! Everything is shot down (bars, restaurants, parks). There are only grocery stores and pharmacies open. Therefore, even if you want to go out there is not much to do. But we stay home!!!

So as I've told you, it is our 6th day at home, and it isn't as bad as I thought it would be ( maybe it's like this because we have only ONE child). If we want to go out, we stay on our balcony or go in the backyard of our house. We are lucky to have some space, and we share the yard with just one neighbour, so i am rather calm about being out. Another plus is that my husband stays home too. We get to spend more time together, play games and cook. Yes! There is a lot of cooking in our house now :). We do the things we never have time for. We clean! We read! We sleep ( well boys sleep)!

Dear friends, thank you for sending me messages and asking if we are fine. We are doing well! And i hope this will not change! I wish you all the best! Please, please, please be responsible! Respect the rules! It is really easy! Don't go out if you don't have to! Nothing will really happen if you won't have a coffee at the bar today!!! Do it for yourself and for the thousand of people who cannot stay home and have to work. Do it for those who work non- stop in order to safe lives! Take care of yourself and your families!!!

Let's hope everything will be fine!!!

Alina
