Pastry Love

Image
Dear friends, In one of my previous posts i was talking about food and i promised to post some recipes that i like. Therefore today i will share the recipe of one of my favorite pies - Berries Pie. I have to confess that before getting married i seldom cooked or baked. Although my head was full of ideas, i never had the time and desire to do it. Well, the things changed after the wedding, and i started to try so many new recipes. The things got really serious when i found out i was pregnant. I don't know why, but i suddenly discovered my love for pastry, or as they call it in Italian "pasticceria". I became baking wonderful desserts (not too sophisticated though, I am not that good yet ) and i was so proud of the results. Even my husband was surprised, so i didn't need any other motivation to keep going. So, let's get back to business. Here are the ingredients that you need for a delicious Berries Pie: - 4 eggs - 200g sugar - 250g ricotta cheese  - baki...

Hello April

Image
My dear friends,  I have good news, SPRING is here!!! Not that you did not know, but I had to mention it one more time 😁. So last Sunday it was April 1st and everyone was celebrating Easter here. We decided to visit our beloved Langa. I've already posted about that place before.( see post ) It is so special for both of us, and unfortunately the pictures cannot describe its real beauty. One must see it with his own eyes in order to understand what i am talking about.  Although we've been there for so many times, this time was different, because we took baby Oliver with us. Honestly, I was a little nervous because it was our first real trip longer than two hours and of course I had to take half of the house with me 😏. I was worried about Oliver's behavio r, and the way he will react to such a long day. Well, i am happy to admit now that he did a GREAT job. He is a car lover and he can stay inside it for hours, and we are very excited about this since we love to tr...

1st month of MOTHERHOOD

Image
Hello there, A month is not such a big deal - someone would say. But for me it is a VERY BIG DEAL , since it is our baby boy we are talking about. I cannot believe that one month is already gone, I really wish i could stop the time for a while, so i could enjoy more his sweetness. I cannot believe that a couple of months ago I was waiting for him but I had no idea about babies and how to take care of them (I am still not much of an expert, but i am learning). During a month i have discovered a lot of things, about babies, motherhood and parenthood in general. People say that your life changes totally when babies appear, and i can agree with them now. Here are some changes that have happened in our lives during one month: - The nights when we could sleep for 8-9 hours without any interruption are gone, too bad i could not sleep more before; - Breastfeeding is not always roses and butterflies in your stomach (as they describe it in books, DO NOT believe the books), the first day...

Good bye PREGNANCY...Hello MOTHERHOOD

Image
Hello everyone, Although the calendar says it's Spring, the weather has decided to surprise us with some snow (or better said A LOT of it). Everything is white and it is super cold, but our mood has never been greater. So I have good news, our Baby Oliver has arrived and we felt inlove with him at the first sight. We couldn't help it, he is so adorable and sweet ❤. Each moment spent with him is so priceless. We still cannot believe he is here. But my post won't be about the baby, I will have time to write about him later on. This post is about my pregnancy - the magical time that has passed by so fast ( maybe too fast 😁 ). I actually planned to write this before i gave birth, but everything happened so fast, we didn't expect it. The pregnancy was such a joy for me, because i was one of the lucky future  mommies who could eat anything and not have nausea. I was also very active, I could do anything i did before without too much effort. Of course at the end of ...

The truth about being married to a chef

Image
Dear friends,            February is here, and this month we celebrate LOVE❤. I believe that we should not need a reason to celebrate it, and surely we don't have to wait an entire year in order to express our feelings to our loved ones. However, today i will write a post about my dear husband, not to tell him about my love, but to tell you about him 👯             Besides being a GREAT man, he is also an excellent chef. And i am so very proud of him. I know,  people would say now "this woman probably does not even know how to cook" . In fact, many of my friends think that the life with a chef must be a "fairy tale". Sure it is!  But not always! Of course, i consider myself lucky, not only because of his job, but because he is the way he is - unique! However, the fact that he can cook is an advantage!             So, in my support, i want to mention that i CAN cook, and ...

5 Movies to watch on rainy days

Image
Hello everyone! How are you doing? Are you ready for something interesting? I have been thinking about this post for a while now. Especially last week when the weather was so gloomy and when watching a movie was a "must". I like good movies with talented cast and interesting messages. As many other girls i used to be a "chick flick" kind of person, but lately i have changed my preferences. I choose movies which are inspired by real events, and those based on books. Well, as they say - You only live once, so why waste time on bad movies ?! I have prepared a list of the films which impressed me and i highly recommend you to watch them in good company 😉 So here we go: 1. Gone with the wind I am sure you've heard about it at least once in your life! What a story! I read the book and watched the movie  and even though the it is not a recent one, i still love it! It describes the life of American people during the Civil War - an important eve...

Last get away for 2017

Image
My dear friends, I am so thankful for your good thoughts and good wishes . It is such a pleasure to know that you appreciate my posts. Thank you for your support! Now I have bad news! The holidays season is over and we have to say good bye to our lively Christmas trees and lights. Why don't we have an "REPEAT" button so we can press it anytime we want to go back in time? Well, the good news is that today i will write about a wonderful place which we have visited last December - Saint Paul de Vence in France. People who know me and my husband well, are already aware of the fact that we like to "escape" from the routine. And once in a while we organize some romantic or adventurous get aways.  Unfortunately we seldom visit other countries, but we visit different  cities and regions near us. One of the greatest advantage of living in Piedmont, is the fact that French Riviera is very close, so in just a couple of hours you can be in Nice, Cannes or...
